KuklaStudios is an up and coming design/music studio that I often collaborate with. Founder Steven J. Kukla approached me with the task of creating an identity, website, and print collateral (more to be displayed soon) that could incapsulate all of his professional outlets. Steve is a web developer and a film composer. Through his studios he is building a business based on collaboration between artists, designers, and musicians. The hand-drawn babushka serves as a representation of collaboration and the philosophy of the studios: every project needs more than one set of hands, and requires many people with many talents to come together to create a beautiful result. The babushka is also referencing the meaning of Steve's last name. "Kukla" in several languages, including the country of his family's origins means doll.

The website uses the video player in a non-conventional way. Literally every page has a video player meaning that employees can introduce themselves, websites can be viewed in use, and musical compositions can be accompanied by their score.
